Terms of service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of buddha.store (the “Site”) and your purchases from us. The Site is operated by YUENCHUK INVESTMENT LIMITED, trading as Buddha.store (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using the Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

Using the Site

You must be at least the age of majority where you live, or use the Site with the consent of a parent or guardian. We may refuse service to anyone at any time. You may not reproduce, copy, sell or exploit any part of the Site without our written permission.

Products & Pricing

  • All products are subject to availability, and we may discontinue any product at any time.
  • Prices are shown in US dollars or, where available, in your local currency. You pay the total shown at checkout. Prices may change without notice; a change never affects an order you have already placed.
  • We photograph our products as accurately as we can, but colors vary between screens. Beads made from natural materials vary in color, pattern and size, so your piece may differ slightly from the photos.
  • Descriptions of the traditional meaning of a symbol or material are shared for cultural interest. They are not promises of any health, spiritual or financial result.
  • If an item is listed at an incorrect price, we may cancel orders placed at that price. We will tell you promptly, refund you in full and offer you the chance to reorder at the correct price.

Promotions & Discount Codes

  • One discount code can be used per order. When several discounts apply and cannot be combined, checkout applies the one that saves you the most.
  • Discount codes have no cash value and cannot be applied to past orders. Time-limited promotions end at the time shown on the Site.
  • Free gifts are available while stocks last. Gift shipping is charged per gift, as set out in our Shipping Policy.
  • We may limit quantities, or cancel orders that appear to be placed for resale or to misuse a promotion.

Orders & Payment

By placing an order, you confirm that the information you give is accurate and that you are authorized to use the payment method you submit. We accept the payment methods shown at checkout, including major credit and debit cards, Shop Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Payments are processed securely by our payment providers, and we do not store your full card details.

We may refuse or cancel an order, for example when a product is unavailable, when there is an error in pricing or product information, or when we suspect fraud. If we cancel an order after payment, we refund you in full.

Order Confirmation

After you place an order, we email you a confirmation. It confirms that we have received your order; it does not mean we have accepted it. We accept your order when we ship it and email you a shipping confirmation with tracking.

Reviews & Submissions

If you send us or post reviews, photos or other content, you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce and display it on the Site and in our marketing. Please submit only content that you have the right to share and that is lawful, accurate and respectful.

Intellectual Property

All content on the Site, including text, images, graphics, logos and design, belongs to Buddha.store or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not:

  • Copy, distribute or create derivative works from content on the Site.
  • Use our name, logos or trademarks without our written consent.
  • Use bots, scrapers or other automated tools to access or collect data from the Site.

User Conduct

You agree not to use the Site for any unlawful purpose, submit false information, try to gain unauthorized access to the Site or its systems, interfere with how the Site works, or transmit viruses or other harmful code.

Third-Party Services

The Site runs on Shopify, and payments, shipping and some features are provided by third parties under their own terms. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content or practices.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Buddha.store and its officers, employees and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or our products, including loss of profits or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the product that gave rise to the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions or limits. Where that is the case, our liability is limited to the maximum extent the law allows.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Buddha.store and its affiliates from claims, losses and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Site.

Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Nothing in these Terms limits the rights you have under the consumer protection laws of the country where you live.

If you have a problem with an order, please email us first. We aim to resolve every concern within 30 days.

Severability

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, that part is limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the rest of the Terms remain in effect.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Orders are governed by the Terms in effect when they were placed.
